Cover Story - 2500 word compelling interview of a nationally known or recognizable individual whose faith has inspired or influenced their contribution to society. Possibly related to current national news story or timely issues, unusual stories of Christian celebrities. Pays 10 cents per word and three copies upon publication. Submit (following query) as word document attachment to email with "cover story" in subject line. Include name, mailing info and 50 word bio in body of email message.
Social Issue feature - 2000 word well researched journalism about relevant social issue. Query before submitting as above.
LifeLines - 750-900 word first person accounts - inspring and motivating stories related to marriage, parenting, blended families, crisis situations, dealing with grief and loss, personal growth through adversity, overcoming obstacles, life transitions, finding your way back from a crisis of faith, overcoming depression, etc. Stories should be told as what you learned from the experience, not what someone else should gain from it. Honorarium of three copies upon publication and one year subscription to Beyond Ordinary Living.
Submit by email with article as word document attachment with LifeLines in the subject line. Include name, mailing info and 50 word bio in the body of the message.
Canadians at Work Here & There - 1250 word profile of a Canadian doing something extraordinary here in Canada or abroad. Query by emil before submitting. Pays 10 cents per word plus three copies upon publication.

Reprints - query first, including name of publication and date published
In all categories, articles will be edited for grammar, clarity, and length.
We do not ask writers to sign our statement of faith but we retain the right to reject any articles that are in contradiction to it.
